Regulated professions: getting your qualification recognised

The Ukraine-specific derogation for health professions expired on 31 December 2025. The live route is art. 13 of Decree-Law 18/2020, in force to 31 December 2027, allowing temporary practice of health professions. For unregulated occupations no recognition is needed at all: a CIMEA comparability statement is enough.

The employment contract: what must be in it, and what Italy does not have

Italy has no statutory minimum wage; the floor comes from the sector-level collective agreement (CCNL) that matches your job and grade. The contract and registration with the employment centre through the DID are separate things: the DID is for employment services, not for the right to work.

The right to work under temporary protection

Temporary protection carries the right to both employed and self-employed work, seasonal included, from the moment the receipt is issued. No separate work authorisation is needed; the receipt or the permit is enough for the employer.
