Access to information
All legal information on DryRights is free. Rules, procedures, step-by-step routes, links to official sources, verification dates and currency status are available to everyone — without an account, without payment and without a time limit. This will not change.
Accounts
You do not need an account to read. An account is only needed if you want to save collections, keep notes or receive alerts. Registering unlocks nothing; it only remembers.
An optional service: working with the information
Reading the rules is free. But working with the law is not only reading. A rule changes while you are not on the site. A deadline runs out while you are busy with something else. And a step taken three months ago has to be recalled together with the document you filed then and the rule as it stood at that moment.
That is what we are building a separate service for — a working assistant on top of the information:
- change tracking for the rules that apply to your situation, with a notification when the change actually happens — by email, messenger or another channel that suits you;
- a calendar of deadlines, entry-into-force dates and scheduled reviews;
- reminders about the next step, not about an abstract date;
- a history of your actions — what was done, when, with which documents, and against the rule in force at the time;
- collections, notes and export — to bring it together and pass it on;
- team collaboration for organisations.
This is not access to the law. It is help in running a case. Access was and remains free, and this service remains optional.
It is also what should fund keeping the information free: hosting, monitoring of primary sources and editorial verification.
Organisations, API and integrations
For institutions, universities, civil society organisations and public authorities, terms for API access and integrations are agreed individually. Please write to partnerships@dryrights.com
Publicly funded research outputs
Data, indicators, methodologies, documentation and tools produced within publicly funded research projects are published in open access, permanently, without an account and without payment. They are additionally deposited in external open repositories, so that their availability does not depend on the continued existence of DryRights.
