Understand this route
Italy has no statutory minimum wage; the floor comes from the sector-level collective agreement (CCNL) that matches your job and grade. The contract and registration with the employment centre through the DID are separate things: the DID is for employment services, not for the right to work.
What to check
- Which collective agreement applies and your grade (livello): that sets your minimum pay.
- Contract type: permanent, fixed-term, part-time.
- Your monthly payslip: the rate and the deductions.
- The DID at the employment centre, if you are job-hunting through it.
Caveat
Two different dates. At EU level temporary protection runs to 4 March 2028 (Council Decision (EU) 2026/1912). Italian instruments, as at 26 September 2026, are still tied to 4 March 2027, and we found no Italian implementing act for 2028. Check your questura and the Ministry of the Interior before acting.
