Understand this route
Admission runs through the foreign-qualification route, where CIMEA documents often replace the consular declaration of value. Separately from fees there is the right to student support: regional grants, housing and fee waivers based on ISEE, and that is what decides whether study is affordable.
What to check
- The university's requirements for a foreign school-leaving certificate.
- Regional DSU grants and their deadlines.
- An ISEE: fee waivers and grants depend on it.
- The Italian level your programme requires.
Caveat
Two different dates. At EU level temporary protection runs to 4 March 2028 (Council Decision (EU) 2026/1912). Italian instruments, as at 26 September 2026, are still tied to 4 March 2027, and we found no Italian implementing act for 2028. Check your questura and the Ministry of the Interior before acting.
